A Congratulatory Message from the NBHS Guidance Department
The Guidance Department at North Babylon High School works with students in many different capacities, and we have the wonderful opportunity of watching our students grow and progress during their four years in the school. While many of our students have had outstanding achievements over the past year, we would like to take a moment to highlight a few:
• Congratulations to the North Babylon News 12 Challenge team: Adam Abdelaziz, Christian Cederstrom, Jared Ginsberg, Kyle Gordon, and Peter Reuss. What a spectacular year for the team!!!
• The following students are the 2009 inductees to the SAT 1950 club: Adam Abdelaziz, Leonard Campanello, Lisa Diamond, Kyle Gordon, Jennifer Ha, Heba Hasan, and Jennifer Rice. Brilliant!
• Based on their stellar PSAT scores, Tausif Noor, Peter Reuss, and Christine Zhao have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
• Our student athletes deserve recognition for their many accomplishments throughout the year. Go NB!!!
• Kudos to Leonard Campanello and Faaieza Khan who were selected to attend the state and national “Mathletes” competition. This is an honor that was bestowed on only a few students in the entire county!
• The Guidance Department would like to give special thanks to the numerous students who have generously donated their time and knowledge by tutoring their peers. We are grateful for your caring and helpful nature, as it truly reflects the character of North Babylon’s students. A special “thank-you” goes to Tausif Noor, who has nearly an entire classroom of students on his “peer tutoring” roster. Great job!
• While there are too many to name, we would also like to congratulate the plethora of students that were offered college scholarships for the upcoming year. You truly do get paid for doing well in high school!
Though we have only mentioned a few notable accomplishments, we are very proud of all of our students, and we would love to hear about anything new and exciting that is happening! Keep us informed!
