Advanced Placement Science Students Partner with Elementary Students to Feed the Community

Advanced Placement Environmental Science students recently joined with William E. DeLuca students to help restock the food pantry located at the Town of Babylon Annex. Students lined up from the DeLuca school to the Town Annex with canned and packaged foods to form a human food chain. All students, both on the elementary and high school levels, felt good about helping others, and the AP students will also incorporate this experience into their curriculum in regards to population growth and the distribution and use of the earth’s resources. Matthew, one of the AP students remarked that it "was a great experience not only to work with kids but to actually do something to help those in need."
