Award Winning Poet Visits DeLuca Students
William E. DeLuca had a special visitor for poetry month when Darren Sardelli, an award winning poet, made poetry fun and exciting for everyone. In an interactive assembly Mr. Sardelli dramatized his humorous poetry, showed students how to spice up their writing with humor, creativity and imagination, and talked about the wonderful things that can be done with ideas. The fifth grade students attended a special workshop after the assembly to create humorous poems themselves.
