HS Celebrates Poetry Month
Celebrating Poetry Month in April, students at North Babylon High School continued the tradition of the Poetry Café in the Library. Students were encouraged to express themselves by sharing their own poem or one by a favorite author. Some students even sang a verse from a song that had meaning to them, and played guitar or piano. Mr. Scollo gave an amazing musical performance for each of the classes as well. At the end of each reading or performance students showed their appreciation by snapping their fingers in the tradition of a Poetry Café. Ms. Bielskas, the librarian, was instrumental in making the event so successful.
