HS Club Helps Habitat for Humanity
On March 31st fifteen members of the Students for a Better World Club went to Bay Shore to participate in the student build for the third year in a row. Accompanied by Advisor Ms. Veronica Murphy, Principal Mr. Ray Williams, and Dean of Discipline Mr. Bert Gmelch, they spent six hours putting up a fence around the property and landscaping. The group raised $1,500 through various fundraisers such as a Santa Breakfast and Paper Brick sale to donate for the building of this house.
Students for a Better World is also collecting jeans and school supplies to donate to homeless teenagers.
