HS Hosts "Arrive Alive Tour" to Promote Safe Driving
The North Babylon High School hosted the Arrive Alive Tour on May 25, 2011, for the senior class through UNITE International and a grant from Allstate Insurance Company. UNITE visited the high school to inform and demonstrate to the entire senior class the dangers and consequences of drinking and driving, as well as texting and driving. The program included an ongoing high-impact video presentation along with car simulators where students sit in an actual vehicle, put on goggles and safely experience the dangerous reality of texting/drinking and driving. With the Prom season on the horizon it is important that students be informed about the dangers of drinking and driving as well as texting and driving.
