HS Physics Classes Create Wave Machine
The physics classes of Ms. Heidi Leibowitz had fun making a simple wave machine to show how energy is transmitted by a wave. They used duct tape, shish-ka-bob sticks, gummy bears, and metal support rods to make the wave machine. By lifting sticks at the end of the contraption, they were able to transmit a wave that returned to them. Needless to say, it was an interesting and successful endeavor.
