HS Student Competes for Theatrical Awards
North Babylon High School senior, Kevin Crowley, will compete for the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. After recently winning the Gershwin Award for the New York Metropolitan area, Kevin will now move on to compete in the "Jimmie Awards," the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. On Monday, June 27th, after five days of rigorous theatre training with nearly 50 other high school award winners from all over the country, Kevin will officially make his Broadway debut on the stage of the Marquise Theatre. If Kevin wins this competition, he will receive a $10,000 prize and be awarded a scholarship to attend NYU's Tisch School of Performing Arts in New York City.
Kevin has already been accepted to Marist College, with a first full year in Florence, Italy, to study Fashion Design. He is also the Principal Cellist in the High School Orchestra.
