MGV Teacher Receives Mentoring Award
A teacher at Marion G. Vedder Elementary School, Ms. Jeanette Roberto, is the recipient of an award from the Mentoring Partnership of Long Island. She was chosen because of her work running the mentoring program at MGV for the past four years with the assistance of Peter Steck and Joanne Williams. The program has doubled in size and now mentors 33 students from the school.
Ms. Roberto was honored at a special luncheon on at C.W. Post, and MGV will receive a $500 grant for the program.
