NBHS Band Celebrates St. Patrick's Day in NYC

The only color the North Babylon High School Marching Band wanted to see was GREEN as they strutted their stuff for the 13th year in a row in the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade down 5th Avenue in Manhattan on March 17th. Along with melodies from Ireland, the band also performed music from the “Music Man” and ACDC.
The parade is televised every year on national television, to allow bands throughout the country to showcase their talent. Under the leadership of Drum Major Alyssa Makely, the band marched the span of 48 city blocks, proudly displaying the pride of North Babylon. Under the direction of band directors Frank Rizzo and Jay Orig, along with Kickline Advisors Laura Gmelch and Nicole Raymond, the band had many Irish eyes smiling happily at a North Babylon Irish gig!
