NBHS Football Team Defeats Bellport, Advances to Title Game

The North Babylon Varsity Football Team, coached by Terry Manning, defeated Bellport 35-10 on November 14th in a Division II semifinal game and advanced to the title game where they will play East Islip. That game will take place at Stony Brook the eveining of November 20th at 7:00. The NB Bulldogs are rated #1 and the East Islip Redmen are rated #2, so it should be a close game.
The game against Bellport this past Saturday was a total team effort. Adam Amin, Preshod McCoy, and Ryan Crawley had a powerful running game. McCoy scored three touchdowns, Amin added another two and kicked all the extra points, and Crawley gave both the Bellport defense and offense nightmares as he racked up yards and seven tackles.
The Bulldog defense was tough with the Clippers. Terry Slane and Dante Caldwell keyed on the Clippers for interceptions, and C.J. Ugalde and Joe Martin racked up sacks.
The undefeated Bulldogs have been tough and consistently strong all season both on defense and offense. They are the division’s highest scoring offense and they have been stingy on defense, holding their opponents to low scores.
