NB Choir Hosts Canadian Choir from Lancaster
The North Babylon High School Choir students had the privilege of hosting a Canadian Choir from Lancaster High School in a choral exchange concert on April 7th. The students from both the NBHS Choir and the Lancaster HS Choir performed pieces that would best represent their vocal abilities. The NBHS Choir sang selections from their upcoming spring concert as well as past selections that were performed at Carnegie Hall. Both choirs were equally impressed with one another's abilities and our students found the choral exchange experience to be one that has enriched their educational experience as musicians. The students all learned about constructive criticism and found that the experience has enhanced their performing goals and the willingness to surpass the current challenges that they all face as performers. North Babylon teacher Mrs. Christina Henderson says of the experience, "Many of them still talk about the experience and anticipate the chance to take part in another choral exchange in the future."
