NB Girls'' Soccer Player Signs With Molloy College
North Babylon's outstanding girls' soccer player, Casey Filippone, has recently signed to Molloy College where she will be receiving an athletic scholarship for her outstanding abilities on the soccer field and in the classroom. Pictured at the signing with Casey are her parents, sister, Mr. Corrado (Varsity Girls' Soccer Coach), Ms. Lemanczyk (Asst. Girls' Varsity Soccer Coach), and Mr. Ray Williams, the High School Principal.
Casey concluded her senior season with a team leading 14 goals, giving her 39 for her career. She was an All-State (5th Team) selection by the New York State High School Sportswriters Association. This was the second time she made All-State. She was also All-County and Academic All League. Coach Corrado calls her one of the most successful girls' soccer players of the past 20 years, and she was instrumental in leading the team to a 14-4-1 overall season and to the Suffolk County Final Four.
