NB Student Selected to Suffolk All County Vocal Jazz Ensemble
NBHS student Naomi Baez was selected to the Suffolk All County Vocal Jazz Ensemble and was honored at the December Board of Education meeting for her selection. Over 152 students from 18 different districts auditioned for this ensemble, and only 32 vocalists were selected, including our own Naomi. We look forward to her performance at the SCMEA Jazz Festival, scheduled for Saturday, February 12th, at Sayville High School, where our own NBHS Jazz Band will be performing as well. In addition to that performance, Naomi has been invited to perform at the New York State Capitol Building on Tuesday, March 8th, as part of SCMEA Day in Albany. Congratulations to Naomi, her family and all of her music teachers, including Mrs. Christina Henderson.
