Parliament Place Students Learn About Fire Safety
Parliament Place first graders recently had a visit from Jen Price and the North Babylon Fire Department to learn about fire safety. Students wore fire gear and crawled on the ground as "smoke" filled the room. They saw a firefighter in gear and learned not to be afraid of him or her. Each first grader went out a window and to a meeting place with their class. The "first grade junior firefighters" now know how to practice fire safety at home. It was a fascinating experience, thanks both to the brave firefighters of North Babylon and Parliament Place’s courageous first graders!
