RMMS Students Complete Heritage Project
Students in the Reading and Language Arts classes of Ms. Celeste Janelis and Mrs. Casale at Robert Moses Middle School completed a heritage project that displayed their diverse backgrounds and family heritages. Designed to teach tolerance and acceptance of each unique background, the program required that students research their heritage, write an essay, and design a spoon doll to represent their various cultures. They truly learned the meaning of President Obama’s words in his Inauguration Speech when he said, "Our patchwork heritage is our strength."
