RMMS Students Learn about Weather, Celebrate Earth Day
Students in the 6th grade class of Ms. Ferreri traveled to the Long Island Center in Riverhead to explore the adventures of weather. They were fascinated to watch a cloud form in a portable weather tank and to see how tornadoes evolve. They also learned how to track a hurricane by plotting points of latitude and longitude and predicting the pattern of a storm.
In addition, this class celebrated Earth Day by designing “Save the Earth” themed paper bags for King Kullen to use on Earth Day.
