Students Hold St. Jude's Math-A-Thon

Under the guidance of RMMS teacher Kristina Kennedy, students from Robert Moses Middle School participated in the St. Jude’s Math-A-Thon. Students received a math fun-book and completed problems to obtain donations from their sponsors. Ms. Kennedy explained, “Math-A-Thon is a perfect link with the school’s curriculum that teaches the fundamentals of core values such as helping others, compassion and commitment.”
In general, participating students improve their math and comprehension skills, solve age-appropriate math problems, and understand the importance of helping others. All of this helps everyone, particularly St. Jude’s patients battling cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. Over the years, Robert Moses has done a phenomenal job contributing and has raised a total of $121,444.08.
