Theater Students Explore Diversity and Literacy

A group of theatre students accompanied Mr. Signorelli on May 5th to present an original workshop entitled "Exploring Diversity and Promoting Literacy Through Theatre Arts." They demonstrated how to use improvisational and staging techniques to bring stories to life in the classroom setting. The program was sponsored by the "Reading Specialists Council of Suffolk" (RSCS) and was presented to a group of approximately 30 teachers and administrators interested in using some of these techniques in their teaching programs.
