Daedalus Quartet Members Visit North Babylon Students
Min-Young Kim, Kyu-Young Kim, Jessica Thompson and Raman Ramakrishman, members of the Daedalus Quartet, took time from their current tour to visit the North Babylon School District on Feb. 3rd and 4th. During their visits to orchestra classes, the Quartet performed student selections and literature from their upcoming LIncoln Center performances, including contemporary literature and the Beethoven Quartet in E Flat Major, Op. 74, otherwise known as the "Harp." Students enjoyed a lively question and answer period and look forward to the District String Festival on March 24th during which they will all have a chance to play with and for the Quartet again. This residency is funded by the North Babylon Arts in Education Program and a grant from Chamber Music America.
