MGV Goes Green
Mrs. Stacy Cahill's second grade class at Marion G. Vedder Elementary School is "Going Green." They have joined the Schools Go Green with News 12 and Power to Learn. Their first Green classroom project was setting up a recycling center. They have been recycling glue sticks and Capri sun juice pouches through www.terracycle.net, an organization which makes new products out of the items sent in and in return they donate money to the school.
The class also invited the rest of the school to recycle Capri sun juice pouches and glue sticks with them and the response was enthusiastic.
