Reading Lists K-12
We recognize that there are numerous, excellent books and by no means is this list meant to be exhaustive. In addition to the books listed here, we recommend the reading list on our web site at www.acs.ucalgary.ca/~dkbrown, and, of course, any of the Newberry and Caldecott Award winning books. The North Babylon Public Library is also an excellent resource.
Please note that the grade level indications are not definitive as abilities, and tastes differ with each reader. If you find a great book that is not on our list, please e-mail us the title and author, so that others may enjoy it!
We would like to recommend both The Giver and all of the Harry Potter books whose appeal ranges from the very young to the adult!
