AP Chemistry Class Explores Modern Atomic Theory

Mrs. Jaeger's second and third period AP Chemistry classes have been studying the Progress of the Modern Atomic Theory. Each student had a partner and had to find a creative way to explain the Atomic Theory and share the finding with the class. The students were innovative and had a variety of projects which included brochures, videos, PowerPoint, and even a rap song. In writing about the project, Emily Ragusa and Karan Kumar said that the various approaches helped students understand the atom. They said, "We learned the theories of several scientists, including Dalton, Bohr, and Thomson. The discoveries were amazing." What a novel way to study the atom!
