Belmont Holds "Hats On" Day for Children with Cancer
Belmont Elementary School's Student Council hosted its first annual "Hats On" Day on January 29th. Hats "On" Day is a nationwide program that raises money for children with cancer. On this day students and staff members paid $2.00 to wear a hat to school. Additionally, the Student Council raised money by hosting raffle sales for various hats during the week of January 25. The funds raised were sent to the Foundation for Children with Cancer. Belmont was able to raise $775.00 to support this cause.
