Girls Tennis Team Wins Awards
The Girls Varsity Tennis Team, coached by Kristina Kennedy, won the Section XI Sportsmanship Team Award. They also were nominated for the Academic Team Award, an outstanding achievement that requires the team's overall academic average to be above 90% during the season.
Specific awards were given to Tamara Simpson who was honored with All-County and All-League, Tedi Politano with All-League, and Kristin Meir with All-League. As a team, the girls had an outstanding season; they improved their record from last year by winning three more matches, even when they were competing against higher-level teams.
Women's Tennis at North Babylon is definitely on the rise, improving with every match and practice, so much so, that the team was featured on MSG Varsity.
