HS Student Government Holds Leadership Month
The North Babylon High School Student Government, advised by Karen Kennely, recently held a Government Leadership Month. Town of Babylon Supervisor, Mr. Steve Bellone gave a speech to more that 40 students about leadership and his path to local government. Mr. Bellone was himself a NB graduate and his words had an inspirational impact.
The program for the month also featured a meeting with HS Principal Mr. Ray Williams who also shared his story about leadership. This was followed by a Q & A session during which he asked students for their ideas for a better high school. They had a good discussion and students believed that he listened to their suggestions.
Other parts of the program included leadership activities led by President Brittany Robert and the other officers.
