HS Students Create Music on Apple Software
Thanks to the resources of the North Babylon School District, students in Mr. Rizzo's Music Theory II class were able to create musical compositions using Apple's Garageband software and USB Keyboards. The students were given an assignment to compose a piece in three sections, ABA form, using loops from the software, as well as creating their own. The results were quite diverse from music similar to a jazz club, Braveheart, War World II, Techno and even some interesting orchestral snippets. Thanks to today's technology, students are able to instantly hear what they compose.
