MGV Celebrates Veterans Day
The Marion G. Vedder Elementary School held its annual tribute for all the Veterans that have fought for the freedom of our country on November 10th. Principal Kerry Larke, assisted by music teacher Lora Dellosso, conducted the ceremony for 20 veterans, featuring senior high school band member James Ward. James played Taps for the veterans, in full band uniform, and was later congratulated by veterans, who were deeply moved by his performance. James was truly honored to have been selected by Mr. Frank Rizzo to participate in such an important event. The outdoor event concluded with MGV students singing "God Bless America," assisted by Mrs. Lora Dellosso.
