PASA Holds Fundraiser at Barnes and Noble
PASA held a fundraiser at the Bay Shore Barnes and Noble for the arts and education program in North Babylon on December 2nd. Under the direction of Mrs. Kim Lowenborg-Coyne, the music, art, and drama departments all participated in the program attended by hundreds of enthusiastic people.
Performing holiday music were vocalists from Parliament Place, under the direction of Mrs. Laura Hopkins and vocalists from Marion G. Vedder directed by Mrs. Lora Delloso; students from the Marion G. Vedder Band who were directed by Mr. Robert Giza; Flute Ensemble students from Belmont and Woods Road led by Mrs. Pamela Basile; students from the RMMS Chamber Orchestra directed by Mrs. Kristen Lombardo; and students from the DeLuca Orchestra led by Ms. Nicole Verderosa.
Of special interest was the performances of high school Theater students from the class of Mr. David Signorelli. These students did dramatic readings of several favorite children’s stories, such as “The Rainbow Fish,” “Green Eggs and Ham,” and “Horton Hatches an Egg.”
A highlight of the fundraiser was the art exhibit of students from the classes of Tobi Shinnick, Karen Kennely, and Renee Blank.
