RMMS Football Team Goes 6-0
The Robert Moses Football Team finished their season undefeated. Behind the hard work of the young athletes, the team went 6-0, scored a total of 200 points, and allowed only 50. As Coach Bill Munro noted, “Their love of the game and passion for football were well rewarded in the end with a perfect record.” The team’s two quarterbacks, Timmy McCarthy and Patrick McCabe, did a nice job engineering the offense. Running backs Brandon Sobotker and Rodney Green led the team in touchdowns with Sobotker scoring 12 and Green scoring 10. Linebackers Anthony Centamore and Ramel Hill led the defense in tackles with 36 while Heath Hesser and Centamore both had 2 interceptions. Amiri Lake added 7 touchdowns and Sobotker led the team in sacks with 6. The two centers, Jack Shires and John Randello, did a nice job anchoring the offensive line, while the two cornerbacks, Ryan Thompson and Khavon Bryan, did a great job containing the opposing teams.
