RMMS Students Jazz It Up at Lincoln Center
Members of the Robert Moses Middle School Jazz Band had an opportunity to experience a live concert given by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra in NYC on November 4th. This program was led by Wynton Marsalis, legendary Jazz trumpeter and Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center. It was part of the Young People Concert Series called "Who is Duke Ellington?" Throughout this interactive concert, students were able to learn about Ellington's life and unique approach to composition. They also learned about leadership, collaboration and the value of individuality. As Mrs. Pino says, “It was a truly inspiring day!”
