RMMS Takes Up the "Healthy Steps to Albany" Challenge
Robert Moses Middle School has accepted the "Healthy Steps to Albany" Challenge, which is a health awareness program of Michelle Paige Paterson, the First Lady of New York. She visited the middle school on February 25th to speak about her campaign encouraging middle school students to make their health a top priority by exercising more and eating better. There will be a contest centered around increased physical activity and healthy food choices. The winning classes will be those that record the most steps within a six-week time period. Teachers are charged with coming up with innovative and fun ways to increase steps during the day so that students get more exercise. Robert Moses students and teachers are rising to the challenge.
