At the NYSUT Convention, on April 10th the North Babylon Teachers’ Organization was the proud recipient of three NYSUT Journalism Awards for its community newsletter, “Partners in Education,” which is mailed to all homes in the district. The newsletter placed Third in Best Front Page or Cover, General Excellence, and Best Feature Story. The newsletter Editor is Pat Caraway.
    Since it was launched 12 years ago to publish positive news about the North Babylon School District, “Partners in Education” has won over 70 awards on the state and national levels. Last year it was selected by NYSUT for the prestigious “Ted Bleecker Award,” or the “Best of the Best.” The NBTO is proud to have won that award twice.
