The North Babylon Teachers’ Organization has won three national journalism awards from the AFTCA for its community newsletter, Partners in Education, edited by Pat Caraway. There were two second place awards: one in Best Design/Layout by Pat Caraway and one in Best Original Illustration or Photo, which was actually a photo taken by Matt Erikson, the high school librarian. The newsletter also won a third place award for Best News Story. This was a news story about high school teacher Barbara Brown winning a News 12 Award. It was written by Pat Caraway.
